LONDON, Kompas.com -Juan Martin del Potro reached the tournament semifinals tickets year-end ATP World Tour Finals, which took place in London. In the last match of the group stage B which takes place at the O2 Arena, Saturday (10/11/2012), Mardy won 7-6, 4-6, 6-3 over world number two player, Roger Federer.

This tall tennis player Argentina secured the one remaining ticket from Group B with a 2-1 winning record, the same as belonging to Federer, the defending champion. Federer has been more used to insure themselves to the semifinals thanks to a victory in two matches earlier in the tournament that uses a round-robin system.

The last day of Group B match began with seven scenarios. But the victory led to three sets of seven numbers of the world's players made it through obstacles to step into the semifinals without having to wait for the results of the match between David Ferrer vs Janko Tipsarevic.

Nevertheless, the duel Ferrer and Tipsarevic has little influence though only to determine the final ranking in Group b. If Tipsarevic has won, then Mardy is going to be the champion of the Group and meet Group A runner-up, Andy Murray. But if instead, Ferrer won, then Federer who won the group because of a superior percentage of sets, so that Mardy will meet Group A champion, Novak Djokovic.
